Looking around, you might think "Gee, this is kind of elaborate for a wedding website!" And we realize it is, so we thought we'd tell you why. Rather than being an exercise in self-aggrandizement, it has been an exercise in programming, graphic design, and team work. Together, we learned an unfamiliar programming language (PHP) and used it almost exclusively to create the tools incorporated in this site. Beth designed the overall look for the site and selected and edited most of the photos using Adobe Photoshop, and Orion did most of the MySql database programming. Now that we know we can make wicked cool websites, we can put this on our resumes so we can show everyone that we know how to make wicked cool websites, which will be very useful when Beth realizes she really can't make any money by reading dead languages. So there you have it. It is elaborate because we can.
